Daring to step outside of the established traditions of folk music and pioneering a sound that can only be described as “Jump-up Folk”, we have something here we think will excite you and your audience alike. With influences ranging from Folk, Jazz and World Music to Funk, Drum & Bass and perhaps even a touch of the Classical; forest of fool‘s music is spliced with cunning arrangements and intricate melodies. It’s a formula that can’t fail to move you. Just listen to what’s being whispered in the woodlands: “forest of fools – more than just good, a genre defining band. These guys are really fresh….fat drumlines, truly funked-up, sousaphone-driven bass, overlaid with high-energy English folk riffs….Jump-up Folk. Highlight of our Summer Festival.” – Pony, Small World Festivals Horo Quintet are a group of musicians who love Balkan and folk tunes and compositions from all over the world, especially Eastern Europe, Ireland, Britain, China, Japan and Africa.
