In a nutshell Join the Popov Family in opening the Dacha, their Russian country house, with live music from Mazaika and DJ Sasha Go on... Join us to throw open the windows, air the mattresses and bring in the revolutionary year of 1917. There’ll be an opening set by Mazaika Duo with their intoxicating blend of contemporary folk songs, jazz, tango and gypsy fiddle and DJ Sasha will play out the evening with a set of rocking tunes from across the Post Soviet states. Vodka shots to early comers! What to Expect Sip tea from the Samovar that keeps on giving, partake in fevered political discussion with special guest speakers, and dance to a late night DJ set that draws on a century of Russian music and culture. Who's Involved Dash Arts Dacha is curated by co-Artistic Directors Josephine Burton and Tim Supple, designed by Bryan Woltjen and packed with musicians, actors, activists and thinkers. It has played to rave reviews at Latitude Festival, British Library, Leyton Midsummer and Wandsworth Fringe Festivals. The Dacha forms part of REVOLUTION17 - an explosion of performance by artists from across the Post Soviet States.
