Music of Rodin's Paris

Music of Rodin's Paris
Culture

This informal concert offers the sort of music which the French sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840–1917) would have heard in and around the salons of Paris during his lifetime. Enjoy music performed by harpist Laurine Chenars of the Paris Conservatoire in the unique surroundings of the Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery of China and South Asia, which houses Buddhist and Hindu sculptures that inspired Rodin's work in similar ways to the sculpture of ancient Greece. Presented in collaboration with the Institut Francais and the Royal Academy of Music.
